This national association of pig farmers represents the common view of the pig sector on matters concerning pig farmers. It aims to secure the profitability of Finnish pork production and the value of domestic origin among consumers.
The association is an active project operator, with projects such as activating wild boar hunting and reducing the risk of African swine fever spreading from wild boars. Its website publishes news, seminar materials and an annual pig craftsmanship award, Vuoden sikateko, and it organises pig-related training, for example through Sedu.
