This day-care centre belongs to Pilke päiväkodit Oy, which runs about 210 day-care centres, preschools and after-school clubs with over 12,000 children in its services. Early childhood education focuses on learning through everyday life and play, and centres have different emphases such as languages, nature, sports, music and arts.
Places are applied for online, and an introductory visit with the child can be arranged. Meals are provided and the menu is published. Free family cafés run at local centres and are open to families with children. Staff are trained at the Pilke Academy in areas such as emotional skills and safe everyday practices.
