Run by the local artists' association, the gallery occupies a two-storey wooden building from the 1800s. Around 84 m² of exhibition space shows local and visiting artists, usually in three-week exhibitions. The building also contains an art lending library, framing shop and art supply shop.
Artists apply with an exhibition plan, five images and a CV. Books and cards by local artists are sold for cash. The gallery closes on public holidays. It is about a kilometre from the railway station, and the entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
