The ski club, founded in 1963, built its clubhouse through volunteer work, starting with a sauna section and later adding a hall and offices. The donated plot of around 0.75 hectares has grown to over five hectares. The club held its first local ski races in 1966.
The clubhouse and grounds can be hired for parties, meetings and competitions. Club achievements include Finnish titles and medals and members' world championship titles.
