This renovated log manor stands on the bank of the Iijoki river, about 35 km north of Oulu. Built in 1895 as Kauppila manor, it has been used for accommodation since 2018 and is run by two local owners. The Finnish Heritage Agency protects the manor and its yard buildings. Each of the eight guest rooms has a river view, its own toilet, a smart TV and fibre internet. Breakfast uses local ingredients where possible, and rooms can also be booked without breakfast.
Meeting and party rooms are available, and the whole manor can be rented privately by groups of up to 20. Room-specific sauna sessions cost extra, and there is a fire pit in the yard. Wi-Fi and parking are free, pets are welcome and the house is non-smoking. In summer, accommodation is also offered in the outbuildings. Nearby you can paddle, fish and swim in summer, and skate and ski on the frozen river in winter.
