The wooden church of the parish was built in 1693, and the present building is the parish's second church. This cruciform church is said to be modelled on St Catherine's in Stockholm. The altarpiece, painted by Felix Franck in 1917, shows the crucifixion, and the pulpit was built by the joiner Jacob Nygren in 1833. The organ from 2001 is a stylistic copy of an 1884 Zachariassen mechanical romantic organ and has 25 stops. The church seats about 900 listeners and also has a piano. The churchyard holds 258 war dead, and the church is part of the Länsi-Kymen Kulttuurietä cultural route.
The heating was converted to an air-to-water heat pump system in 2022, and the car park has one electric car charging point. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible, and the church has an induction loop.
