This home-style Finnish restaurant is in the former Kotimäki village school building, built in 1906. It serves an affordable home-cooked lunch on weekdays, and the lunch menu is published on its own page of the website. The place is known for an annual bear-carving tradition and the Karhufestivaali (Bear Festival), with bears carved on the premises every autumn as part of an art-focused setting. The current owner-operator has run it since 2018, and the building has been in local use as a lunch place since the 1990s.
The restaurant also provides catering on order, and the function room can be hired. Tables can be booked in advance. Seating, the car park and the entrance are wheelchair accessible.
