The multipurpose cultural centre hosts concerts, events, congresses and meetings. Karelia hall holds over 500 people and Kaleva hall about 100. A riverside outdoor amphitheatre is used in summer. The building also houses the main library with public computers, city and art museums, a music school and an adult education institute.
Meeting rooms and other spaces serve various events. The café also provides restaurant service for pre-arranged occasions. A hearing loop, accessible seating, an entrance, parking and a toilet are available.
