Consecrated in 1952, this Lutheran church replaced a building destroyed in the bombing of February 1940. Its altarpiece, Professor Väinö Saikko's 1937 painting of a Sámi family on a fell, was rescued from the previous church. A bell tower was added in 1982, and a major renovation was completed in 2011. The church seats about 250 people.
Sunday school is held during services. Baptism trees introduced in 2017 display an angel for each child baptised during the year. A ramp at the main stairs provides step-free access. There is a hearing loop, accessible parking and toilets on the ground floor of the bell tower.
