The manor estate is first mentioned in land registers in the 1500s, and in the 1650s it was granted to the Tauben noble family. According to the site, its log buildings are over 500 years old. The main building was rebuilt in the late 1800s by Severus Konkola, giving it its present neo-Renaissance exterior. Businessman Mikko Simonen bought it in 2000 and restored it following museum authority guidelines. Today it houses a café, a lunch restaurant and an interior and gift shop.
The café serves lunches and baked goods made daily. The shop sells clothing for women and men, accessories, and interior and gift items from known brands. The venue can be rented for events such as weddings and corporate parties, with catering and decorations available. The car park is wheelchair accessible, but the entrance is not.
