This local heart association is part of the Finnish Heart Association network and works with the Central Finland Heart District. It offers information, peer support and varied activities for people with heart disease and anyone interested in health and wellbeing. Together with the district it organises heart cafés and events such as the Heart Fair.
Peer support is given by a trained peer supporter, and courses are available for people with heart disease. Membership can be taken out through the association's website. Members gain access to sydan.fi, an online service with articles on heart diseases, exercise, diet, sleep and mental wellbeing. Heart Symbol recipes are published on the Heart Association's website.
