Founded in 1949, the fishing club has around 75 members and welcomes all ages. Fishing for pike and other species is central to its activities. It owns a fishing lodge on Lake Vanajavesi for members' gatherings.
The club organises trolling and bait fishing competitions, including an annual open trolling contest. Facilities and events rely heavily on volunteer work. Under its principles, catches are shared with neighbours and acquaintances rather than sold.
