Founded in 2006, this veterinary clinic serves North Karelia from the Reijola district, about 8 km from the city centre. Around four veterinarians and six clinic animal care assistants work here. It treats over 8,000 small animal patients a year, mostly dogs and cats, along with exotic animals such as rabbits and birds. Services include dental care, ultrasound examinations, surgery and endoscopic procedures, laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, plus official Finnish Kennel Club examinations for breeding. Vaccinations, microchipping, senior and puppy checks, and euthanasia and cremation are offered.
Appointments can be booked online 24 hours a day, by phone or by email. A veterinarian also makes home visits. Written home-care instructions are given after treatment, with follow-up calls after demanding procedures, and patients are referred onward to a hospital when specialist care is needed. An on-site shop sells pet food, supplements, care products and supplies. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
