This summer theatre was founded in 2014 and stages its shows in a 500-seat open-air arena on the bank of the Pielinen river, in the historic courtyard of Utran Uittotupa. The programme consists of musical comedies written by Antti Heikkinen and Ilja Teppo, performed in Finnish.
The theatre is part of Utran Uittotupa, which also runs a restaurant and hosts events and private functions. Uittotupa belongs to Laakkonen Kapital, a family company group from North Karelia. Group bookings are offered for parties of at least 20. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
