Following Steiner pedagogy and Finland's national early childhood curriculum, the daycare has 22 places for ages 2–7 and an attached pre-primary group. It occupies an old wooden house on the Pekkala manor grounds, with a large garden, trees and berry bushes as part of the learning environment.
Painting, music, stories, baking and crafts shape the weekly rhythm, while celebrations follow the seasons. A parents' support association runs the centre and organises shared activities. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. Rooms can also be hired for courses, hobby groups and events of about 25–30 people.
