The art centre has several exhibition spaces, including Hiili, Sysi, Hehku and Kytö/Liekki, and its exhibitions change roughly every three weeks. It is run by the Taiteilijaseura ry association, which took over in 2021. The association's roots go back to 1945, when Taiteenystävät was founded, and its office is on the upper floor.
The Art Lending Library (Taidelainaamo) operates here, lending and selling Finnish art. It was established in 1971 and was the first of its kind in Finland; it also runs an online shop for works that do not fit the physical space. The association also organises rotating exhibitions in the Sokos window gallery and the main library's wall gallery. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
