This fishery co-operative body was established in 2019 under an amendment to the fishing law and continues the work of the Suonteen kalastusalue. Its main lake basins are Suontee, Viheri and Angesselkä, and it covers about 19,000 hectares of water in the municipalities of Hirvensalmi and Pertunmaa as well as its own home municipality.
It is run by a general meeting and a board. Voting members are village fishing water owners, private waters over 50 hectares and organisations named in the fishing law. The website publishes fishing permits, use and management plans, meeting documents and reports. News covers catch reporting through the Omakala app and the spread of signal crayfish in Suontee.
