Designed by C. A. Gustavsson, the Lutheran church was built in 1850–1851 and consecrated in 1859. The third church on the site, it seats about 800 people. Its mechanical organ was built by Kangasala in 1974 and has 22 stops. The altarpiece is Kaarlo Kiljander's 1885 copy of A. von Becker's Christ on the Cross.
It hosts concerts and church events. Facilities include a children's play corner, sound system, streaming equipment and a baptismal font. A service building completed in 1999 provides public toilets. The entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
