The local heritage museum occupies a grain store built in 1825. Double walls and heavy locks protected the grain; carpenter Tuomas Lariska made the doors and locks. The grounds also contain a granary, threshing barn and the relocated Eerola residential building, re-erected and renovated in 2010–2011.
A local heritage association founded in 1966 runs the museums and local archive and has owned the plot since 2006. Traditional craft demonstrations include rope twisting, wool carding and spinning, birch bark work and butter churning.
