The sorting yard belongs to a municipally owned waste company serving Laukaa, Muurame, Toivakka and the surrounding area. The company turns biowaste into biogas and soil products, including compost-fertilised garden soil and Omapiha. The site has a sorting yard, a weighing station and a small-waste station in Laukaa.
Waste collection is offered to households, cottages, apartment buildings, property managers, businesses and schools. Collection orders and address or billing changes are handled with online forms. Bulk soil is sold, with truckload sales in autumn. Yrityskylä learning days are run for 6th-graders. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
