This small, homelike single-group day-care centre works on a sibling-group principle, so the children are of different ages. It stands at the edge of a forest beside a pond in the Jyskä area, and trips to the forest are part of the daily routine. The focus is on nature and environmental education: sorting, recycling and reusing materials are practised in everyday life. Daily small-group activities let each child progress at their own pace.
The centre belongs to the Norlandia Päiväkodit chain, whose GoGreen programme and yearly Norlandia Quest theme are used here too. Meals and physical activity are part of the daily rhythm, and the chain aims for a positive relationship with food. Parents follow the day's activities through the Kidplan messaging app.
