Operating since 1998, this Steiner day-care centre is run by a non-profit support association with parents on its board. The building uses natural materials and curved forms. Organic meals are cooked on a wood stove in its own kitchen, and children bake bread together. The fenced yard includes a vegetable garden, berry bushes, apple trees, a play area and a small wooded area.
Groups are small and staff permanent, with several holding Steiner pedagogy training. The team meets weekly to discuss teaching. Parents help plan each child's early education and take part in outings, evening events and communal work. There is a root cellar and a small wood-heated sauna. The entrance is accessible, and the centre follows the Steps to Organic programme.
