This barbershop-style hair salon is in the city centre, in the Bank of Finland building from 1959, which has granite cladding. A former bank vault serves as a workspace. It was founded in the early 2010s by Marko Latva-Karjanmaa, Jani Myllyaho and Samu Puhakka. It began as a sister business of the Velvet salon on Helsinki's Yrjönkatu but departs deliberately from the chain model, and the owners set the style and services. According to its website, it offers vegan products and organic plant-based hair colours.
The premises are about 124 m² with a separate work area for each stylist and mechanical ventilation. The team has grown from four to nine, staff turnover is low, and core values are equality and respect for coworkers. The interior includes a jukebox, an old planing bench and a pink moose head, and it changes over time. The aim is a relaxed atmosphere, and booking is available online.
