Operating since 1991, the research and development organisation supports elite athletes and coaches with research-based expertise. It offers sport research, development and innovation services and maintains a research publication repository. It operates under a sports research and development foundation established in 1999.
The sports laboratory provides fitness tests and body composition and recovery measurements, also for recreational athletes and company staff. Sports physician and physiotherapy appointments primarily serve sports academy athletes. The premises are in Hippoksen liikuntapuisto sports park, with an accessible entrance and parking.
