This Lions club is part of Lions Clubs International, a worldwide volunteer network that responds to community needs. The club was founded on 27 May 2003, and its charter night was held on 24 October 2003. It belongs to district 107-G, zone I, region 3. A women's Lions activity is run, and new members are welcome.
The club meets monthly, with the November meeting held by e-mail. It takes part in the Punainen Sulka collection, which supports children's and youth activities. Contact is by e-mail or through its Facebook page Lions Club Palokka/Wilma. The car park is wheelchair accessible.
