Founded in 1960, the independent insulation industry association monitors developments in the sector and contributes to technical solutions, expertise and training. It belongs to the European federation FESI and takes part in industry standardisation.
Members are mainly companies in the field. The association cooperates with training organisations and the employers' federation MTHL, but does not operate as a trade union. Its 50-year history book, published in 2010, can be ordered from the secretary.
