The office belongs to a politically independent child rights organisation working in Finland and internationally under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. It provides non-profit child welfare services to wellbeing services counties, expert support for professionals and humanitarian aid.
Volunteer roles include support persons, sports mentors and support families. Companies can donate or cooperate with the organisation. It publishes the annual Lapsen ääni survey on children's wellbeing and low income.
