Auvo Partanen founded the family farm with his brother in 1986, and management passed to Miika Partanen in 2013. Around 54 hectares produce root vegetables, other vegetables and strawberries. Crops include carrots, beetroot, swede, turnip, celeriac and coloured carrots. Crop rotation and limited plant protection are used, with no post-harvest mould inhibitors.
Strawberries are available for self-picking or pre-picked in five-kilogram boxes. Vegetables are sold washed, loose or in bags of various sizes. Produce is supplied to regional shops and can also be bought directly from the farm. Local home deliveries operate within the city area. Wheelchair-accessible parking is available.
Tell other local food shoppers about the produce or strawberry picking in the comments.
