This regional district of the National Coalition Party covers eight municipalities in the Kainuu region and operates in the Oulu electoral district. It is one of the party's 13 district organisations. Its local associations include those of Sotkamo, Kuhmo, Suomussalmi and Vaara-Kainuu. The area has 8 regional council members and 25 municipal council members.
The organisation publishes the Porvariporinaa Kainuusta podcast, featuring its active councillors and members. It comments on matters of the Kainuu wellbeing services county, municipal councils and the regional council.
