This family-run business has stood on Route 8 at Hiekkasärkät since 1979. The restaurant serves Ostrobothnian home-style food made from scratch in its own kitchen, with ingredients mostly from local producers. It is known for home-baked munkki doughnuts, buns and pannukakku (pancake). A farm-house style café occupies a log building moved from the Kokkola area, and a shop sells local food products and gifts. The name has a heritage pine-tree story behind it.
Accommodation includes cottages, semi-detached houses, apartments and summer barn rooms, with about 100 beds in winter and 150 in summer, plus 70 caravan pitches. Meeting and event rooms come in various sizes, with catering. The site also has the Tapioland water park and a caravan area, art exhibitions and fatbike rental. It operates year-round, with free parking and a step-free entrance.
