This café stands on the Kirkkoharju ridge, where a lookout tower offers views over Lake Vesijärvi. It is open year-round and serves cakes, fresh doughnuts, filled breads, croissants, smoothies and lunch soup, with ice cream in summer. There is a broad coffee and tea selection and a terrace among pine trees. Gluten-free options are available, it is licensed to serve alcohol, and products can be taken away.
The small café can be rented for private events, and catering can be tailored for groups such as birthday parties or company outings. Events are held on the ridge with local businesses. Parking is at the foot of the ridge and in the town centre. Bus lines 40 and 41 from Tampere stop at Urkutehdas, about a 450 m walk away. The seating, entrance, car park and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
