Built in the 1930s in a functionalist style, the observation tower offers lake views in three directions. It stands in a ridge recreation area near the centre. A café at the tower and in the adjoining building serves pastries, doughnuts, speciality coffee, ice cream and soup lunches.
Maintained ski trails start here in winter. Summer walking and cycling routes extend to Sorola, Kyötikkälä, Niihama and Kauppi. Concerts and other events take place in the area throughout the year.
