Founded in 1949, this association preserves the heritage of former Ahjärvi village residents, their descendants and friends of Karelian culture. It collects oral history and published a village history in 2002. Its predecessor was the village volunteer fire brigade, founded in 1902.
The association owns Ahjärventalo, built by volunteers in 1953 on Lake Vesijärvi. The house can be hired for weddings, birthdays, confirmation celebrations and meetings. Senior gatherings, social evenings and volunteer work days are held there too. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
