The hotel and restaurant sit in the historical ironworks setting of Högfors, under an hour from Helsinki. Accommodation comes in three styles: the Bremer house, the Red House and the Club building. The restaurant kitchen favours restrained simplicity, Central European influences and seasonal local produce, and Friday lunches focus on fish, using Päijänne whitefish when available. The company is family-owned.
Meeting rooms range from small rooms to halls for up to 120 people, and outdoor and tent events can host hundreds of guests. Weddings, christenings, memorial services and other celebrations are held here. Rooms and tables can be booked online, and gift cards are available. Breakfast is included, Wi-Fi and parking are free, pets are welcome, the building is non-smoking and child-friendly, and some rooms have a kitchen. Vehicles can reach all the accommodation buildings, there is a step-free route to the Bremer house through a side door, and the restaurant has an accessible toilet. There is no pool, gym or air conditioning.
