The approximately 1.8 km trail runs through mossy spruce woodland beside the Ikkeläjoki river. Reflectors placed by scouts allow it to be followed with a torch after dark. There are a few steeper slopes and a ditch crossing, but the rest of the path is easy to walk.
A large enclosed shelter and a lean-to each have a fireplace and firewood. There are no toilets. Cars can be left beside nearby roads or at the parking spot on Huuskontie. The trail was created by the Kauhajoen Kytöveikot scout group.
