This Lutheran parish church, designed by architect Josef Stenbäck, was completed in 1902. The brick long church has two side aisles and shows continental neo-Gothic influences. The main entrance has a large rose window and the altar wall has large Gothic windows. Simple furnishings and restrained decoration reflect the traditional Finnish stone-church style. The main hall seats 750, and the stained-glass altar windows are by artist Lauri Ahlgren, from 1986. The pneumatic organ by the Kangasala organ factory dates from 1935, was enlarged in 1949 and restored in 2021.
In the summer months the church is open on weekdays as a roadside church for prayer and rest. The church park holds war memorials, including a bronze statue by Evert Porila and a hero monument by Emil Filén. Concert bookings are handled by the cantor, and the venue is also used for services and events. The church is accessible: the entrance, toilet and car park are step-free, and an induction loop is available.
