Designed by Bertil Liljeqvist, the church was built in 1950 and consecrated in 1951. It seats 850 and contains Aale Hakava's altarpiece Jesus on the Cross and a 41-stop organ built by Gerhard Schmid in 1984. The adjacent bell tower dates from 1774. A wooden cruciform church built in 1832 burned down in 1944, following earlier churches from 1647 and 1694.
The building opens for events and can be booked through the parish office. Access is step-free and most of the interior is barrier-free. A hearing loop, accessible toilet and accessible parking are available.
