Designed by Theodor Granstedt, the neo-Gothic brick church was built in 1889–1892 under Odert Laine. Standing on Kippavuori hill beside the old church, it is the parish's fourth church. It has grey granite foundations and a south tower, altarpieces by Eero Järnefelt and a Walcker organ from 1902. Elsi Borg designed its 1956 renovation.
The main parish church seats 1,100 and has a grand piano and organ for large celebrations. Guided tours can be booked separately through the museum. The entrance, parking and toilet are wheelchair accessible, and a hearing loop is provided.
