The local heritage museum has ten buildings relocated from different villages. Assembly began in 1957, the museum opened in 1959 and the site reached its present form in 1973. Buildings include a main house, windmill, cookhouse stable, a granary associated with poet Einari Vuorela, a grain storehouse and a cart shed.
It is run by Keurusselän Seura, a heritage association founded in 1943 that also maintains a local history archive. Parking is accessible, but the entrance and toilet are not wheelchair accessible.
