Registered in 1982, the boating club grew from a workplace hobby club founded at Suomen Sokeri in 1979. Activities centre on Hupisaari marina and the Jollaranta dinghy base, with junior sailing a core focus.
The club organises shared boat lift-outs, harbour work bees and sailing races such as the Porkkala Race. It is a member of the Finnish Sailing and Boating Federation.
