Designed by the architect Aarne Nuortila, the church is named De profundis, or Syvyydestä. It was consecrated in December 1960 and seats 1,200 people. The church hall has a glass-walled children's play area and a balcony organ loft. Sunday services are held weekly in Finnish and Swedish.
The church can be booked for baptisms, weddings and funeral blessings through the parish office. A video projector and a mobile hearing loop are available on request. Facilities include a grand piano, a sound system, a baptismal font, a cinema screen, a baby changing room and stroller space. Access is step-free, with an accessible toilet, an induction loop and wheelchair parking in front of the church.
