Founded in 1953 by players from GBK and KPV, the hockey club played in Finland’s top division in 1959–1960 and 1966–1967. It won Mestis bronze in 2000–2001 and 2003–2004. After bankruptcy, it restarted in the fourth tier and returned to Suomisarja in 2010.
Its home arena was built in 1987. Home-game tickets are sold online, and the club runs a merchandise shop. Wheelchair access is provided at the arena entrance and parking area.
