LapIT is an ICT in-house company owned by municipalities, joint municipal authorities and wellbeing services counties in northern Finland. It was founded over 20 years ago and serves customers from Vaala to Utsjoki. Services include data network connections, server environments, systems and applications, and lifecycle management of end-user devices. It also offers specialist services in procurement, data-driven management, records management, enterprise architecture, data protection and information security.
Main customers are the owner municipalities, including healthcare, culture, early childhood education and municipal technical services. The company has about 150 experts and about 50 partners, and several service locations in northern Finland. It also works with other public-sector organisations such as the Lapland Wellbeing Services County and Lapland University of Applied Sciences.
