The local heritage museum's yard contains twelve log buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, collected since 1958. Arranged as an eastern Finnish farmyard, they include a smoke cottage from Hytölä, storehouses, a threshing barn, sauna, barn, forge and a windmill built in 1867. The windmill was restored in 2020.
The exhibition hall was extended in 2004 and 2005. Five augmented-reality panels on the cattle trail explain cattle-keeping and Finnish native breeds. Summer cultural activities include concerts, exhibitions and food events featuring local producers. Accessible parking is available.
