Run by municipally owned Puhas Oy, the self-service waste station accepts sorted household waste such as cardboard, plastics, wood and glass. Hazardous waste, electrical equipment, batteries, lamps, metal and paper are also received during staffed service times.
Loads are weighed on site. Customers can register in the portal for automatic barrier access or use the payment terminal. Vehicles are recognised by camera, with manual number plate entry and a QR code pass as backup. Garden waste is not accepted. Asbestos must go to Kontiosuo waste centre. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
