The municipal theatre has operated since 1985. Productions are staged on the main stage, the Naapuri studio stage and at Ravintola Kairo. The programme mixes drama, musicals, revues, stand-up and comedy, plus children's visiting performances. Miko Jaakkola has been appointed theatre director, returning to the house.
The theatre restaurant, Café Paukku, is open, and catering can be reserved for events. The theatre-info section of its website gives an overview of accessibility and seating plans, and the theatre publishes a blog series and a seasonal programme brochure. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
