This modern constructivist church was designed by the architects Jaakko and Kaarina Laapotti, completed in 1977 and consecrated in 1978. The main structure is steel trusses, the facade aluminium and steel, and the bell tower is a separate steel-framed building. The interior uses white brick and reinforced concrete ceiling elements, and the altarpiece is a metal composition by Jaakko Laapotti. There are 700 seats, 40 of them in the choir, and the church is used for services, concerts, events and church ceremonies.
Both doors are at street level, and there is an accessible toilet, an induction loop and accessible parking spaces. A baby changing room, a play corner, wifi and coffee service are also available, and a caretaker is on site. Bookings are handled by phone on weekdays. The parish community centre, with rentable party rooms, is about 100 metres away.
