This is the main church of the Kuusankoski parish. Designed by architect Armas Lindgren, it was completed in 1929 and renovated in 1988. The altarpiece is by Alvar Cawén, the side-window stained glass by Antti Salmenlinna and the baptismal font by Gunnar Finne. The nave seats about 700 people, with 100 more in a side gallery. There is a grand piano, a sound system with an induction loop, and church radio on 99 MHz.
A worship service is held every Sunday, and the church also hosts baptisms, confirmations, weddings and special services such as school church services. A ground-floor club room hosts parish day and family club on weekdays, and the ground-floor church hall seats 25 at tables. Facilities include an accessible toilet, a nursery room, a play corner and stroller space. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
