Formed from three public-sector laboratories in 1998, this testing laboratory analyses water, food and industrial samples. It holds FINAS accreditation T054 under SFS-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for chemical and microbiological testing.
Services include well and drinking water, wastewater and sludge testing, Salmonella tests for primary production and Trichinella testing of meat. It also tests samples for pharmacies, dental clinics and bakeries. Sampling and expert services are provided with Kymijoen vesi ja ympäristö ry. A service point network serves customers nationwide, and laboratory vehicles collect samples from some rural locations.
