Founded in 1951, the Swedish-speaking association runs a cultural venue with children's activities, amateur revues, soup days and guest performances. The 1880s building was once merchant and shipowner Alfred Carlström's home and shipping office. Its roughly 350 m² includes a hall seating about 180 with a stage, kitchen, club room and cafeteria.
Spaces can be hired for meetings, weddings, birthdays and other events. A choir rehearses here, and activities include the Finnish card game pidro. Children's May Day celebrations have a tradition of over 50 years.
